Art works on poverty measurement theory and Sustainable Development Goals indicators. He manages the Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific, ADB's flagship statistical publication and a number of multi-million dollar technical assistance projects designed to strengthen statistical capacity among developing Asian economies. Before joining ADB, he was a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland in Australia, where he also received his PhD in Social Statistics.

Kris Ann MeladKris Ann M. Melad is a Supervising Research Specialist at the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). She obtained her master’s degree in development economics from the University of the Philippines School of Economics and her bachelor's degree in public health from UP Manila. As a PIDS Supervising Research Specialist, she worked primarily on the impact evaluation studies of 4Ps, and process evaluation studies on basic and higher education, and the OneLab program of the DOST, among others. Her research interests are in evaluations of social protection, human capital development, education, and health financing programs. 

James Matthew MiraflorHe served as a consultant and researcher for international organizations, the Philippine government, the private sector, research organizations, and non-profit organizations. He has provided inputs on leveraging data science methods, machine learning and econometric techniques, informatics solutions, and other technologies in designing effective strategies that simultaneously target different sectors. He also has experience working in healthcare, poverty, labor, energy, power, transportation, local planning, and hazard, among others. He is currently pursuing active research on complex systems, focusing on probabilistic graphical models of socio-economic and biological phenomena.

Liz Linda Alindogan-MoraledaLiz Linda Alindogan-Moraleda is the Training Supervisor of the Training and Technical Support Division of Geodata Systems Technologies, Inc. She is an Esri and CompTIA CTT+ certified instructor who conducts basic to advanced GIS courses that covers desktop, geodatabase, mobile, and enterprise GIS. Aside from teaching, she is also active in GIS project implementations. She earned her degree on Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering from the University of the Philippines and is completing her master’s degree on Geomatics Engineering in the same university. She also previously worked as a research assistant at the UP-Training Center for Applied Geodesy and Photogrammetry and at the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS). 

Desiree Joy NarvaezMs. Desiree Joy O. Narvaez is currently the OIC- Director of the National Policy and Planning Staff (NPPS) of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). Her team spearheaded the drafting of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028, which was recently published in support of the current administration’s 8-point socioeconomic agenda. Director Narvaez holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of the Philippines. She also received her undergraduate degree from the same university.

Rodaiza NonoyMs. Rodaiza Nonoy has been with the National Privacy Commission since 2016. Currently, she is the Development Management Officer IV of the Policy Development Division.

She is responsible for drafting circulars, advisories, comments, advisory opinions, letters, and other documents on data privacy and security, as well as reviewing relevant internal and external policies of the NPC. She serves as the policy adviser for the Real Estate Sector as well as the Retail and Manufacturing Sector of the NPC’s Data Privacy Council. Likewise, she is a member of the Inter-Agency Committee on Communications led by the Philippine Statistics Authority for the implementation of the Philippine Identification System Act of 2018.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she graduated cum laude. Recently, she also finished her juris doctor degree as a scholar at the University of Makati School of Law. 
 

Marie Carisa OrdinarioCai U. Ordinario writes macroeconomic and urban development stories for BusinessMirror. She has received awards for excellence in reporting on the macroeconomy and statistics. Ordinario is also a Jefferson Fellow of the East West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She currently teaches journalism subjects at the University of Santo Tomas.

Teodoro OrtezaMr. Teodoro M. Orteza is the Chief Statistical Specialist of the Demographic and Health Statistics Division under the Social Sector Statistics Service of the PSA. He obtained his Bachelor in Applied Statistics degree from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 1997 and Master of Arts in Demography from the University of the Philippines in Diliman in 2020 with a thesis entitled “The Association Between Domestic Violence and Contraceptive Use” using the NDHS data. 

As the Division Chief of the Demographic and Health Statistics Division, he takes the lead in the conduct of regular and ad-hoc surveys handled by the division. His involvement in the conduct of every survey includes coordinating with international partners and cascading to the field offices the different levels of training, data collection and supervision, data processing, and the release of results through data dissemination, press releases, and publications. 
 

Emily PagadorANS Emily R. Pagador has a bachelor’s degree in business administration (major in Management) and a master’s degree in Public Administration. 
She worked at the DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute for 20 years as a Science Research Specialist. With two (2) decades at the Institute, she handled (1) Person Registries under the Government Common Platform Program of DICT’s Integrated Government Philippines project, (2) Gov’t Human Resource Information System, (3) National Payroll System, (4) and the Government Operations Management Platform for Trade Facilitation System of the Bureau of Customs. She also held the positions of Managing Director, Senior Managing Principal Consultant, and Project Director in her years in the Private Sector. 

She is an expert in Project Management, Software Development, and Business Process Engineering. 

To date she is currently the Assistant National Statistician of the Use Case Development and Management Service of the PhilSys Registry Office of the PSA. She oversees and supervises the operation relative to the integration of the Relying Parties to the PhilSys. 
 

Chelsea Nicole Pineda holds a degree in Bachelor of Arts Major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs from the De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. Currently, she is still taking her Master's Degree in Asian Studies with a country specialization in Japan at the University of the Philippines, Asian Center. She entered the Institute of Labor Studies in 2020 and has co-authored two researches namely: The effect of COVID-19 pandemic to the remittances and salaries of Overseas Filipino Workers and Labor Market Trends from 2016 to 2022: Prospects and Challenges. Chelsea is currently the project manager and lead researcher of a ILS working paper on "Facilitating Employment Opportunities in the Digital Space: A study on the activities and services of Digital Labor Market Intermediaries in the Philippines" which will be released at the end of this year.

Emma PorioDr. Emma Porio is Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, School of Social Sciences, Ateneo de Manila University and Science Research Fellow, Manila Observatory. She is President of the International Sociological Association (ISA), Clinical/Public Sociology Division and of the Asia Pacific Sociological Association. Prof. Porio is Review Editor, Journal of Frontiers in Sustainable Cities (London), Principal Editorial Adviser of the Environment and Urbanization (Asia Edition) and Review Editor of the Journal of the Cities of the Global South (London). From 2020-2023, AD Scientific Index listed her as one of the most highly cited social scientists in the Philippines and the region. 
She is the co-chair of the Climate Change Commission's National Panel of Technical Experts (NPTE) as well as Adjunct Research Fellow, Center for Social Well-Being Studies, Institute for the Development of Social Intelligence, Senshu University, Japan. In June 2022, she got elected to co-chair (with South Africa) the International Climate Council Network (ICCN), Adaptation Work Stream. 
 

Dr. Jomar Fajardo Rabajante is the Dean of the Graduate School, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He is a Professor and UP Scientist at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics, UPLB. He was awarded as one of the 2021 Outstanding Young Scientists by the National Academy of Science and Technology. He holds an appointment as Junior Associate at the Quantitative Life Sciences Group of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste Italy. His research interest is mathematical modeling, quantitative risk assessment, and data analytics of complex biological and social systems. Dr. Rabajante obtained his Doctor of Science degree in Mathematical and Systems Engineering from Shizuoka University Japan; M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Philippines Diliman; Global Master Certificate in Business Analytics from Michigan State University; and B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from UPLB. He completed a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning in Harvard University, and a Medical Statistics Certificate from Stanford University. He is one of the proponents of the first and only PhD in Applied Mathematics program in the Philippines; and the PhD by Research (Data Analytics and Informatics) program in UPLB.
