As of 01 July 2019, the total inventory of carabao was estimated at 2.87 million heads. This was 0.3 percent lower than the previous year’s level of 2.88 million heads.
Among all ages, caracow shared 40.8 percent to the total carabao stocks. Carabull, yearling, and caraheifer accounted for 27.1 percent,16.6 percent, and 10.7 percent, respectively. Others, which composed of castrated and ready to breed carabull, contributed 4.8 percent to the total carabao inventory. (Table 2)
