PRODUCTION

The October to December 2023 seasonally adjusted palay production was recorded at 4.94 million metric tons. This indicates a decline of 2.0 percent from the previous quarter’s seasonally adjusted estimated production at 5.04 million metric tons. (Figure 1 and Table 1) 
 

PRICE

For the fourth quarter of 2023, the seasonally adjusted farmgate price of palay was observed at PhP 22.23 per kilogram. This represents an increase of 8.6 percent from the preceding quarter’s farmgate price of PhP 20.47 per kilogram. (Figure 2 and Table 2)
