The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will hold the First Regional Cultural Contest for Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) as part of the preliminary activities of the forthcoming 2nd National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (2NCCRVS) in October 2022. The activity aims to contribute to the mental well-being and physical fitness of the city/municipal civil registrars and their staff amid the challenges in the workplace.

The contest will also serve as an opportunity for the LCROs to showcase their talents and their respective regions’ customs or traditions through singing and dancing or a combination of both. Each PSA Regional Statistical Services Office shall be represented by a group composed of 10 to 15 members.

The elimination round for the cultural contest will be held on 15 September 2022. The top three regional winners shall move to the Grand Finals and will be performing live during the 2NCCRVS to be held in the National Capital Region on 06 to 07 October 2022. The national finalists will be recognized and will be receiving tokens during the said event.

Newly recorded video entries to the First Regional Cultural Contest for LCROs must be submitted to nccrvs.rccmi@gmail.com on or before 31 August 2022, 5:00PM. The organizers of the 2NCCRVS will meet online with the official regional representatives on 05 September 2022.
