Rizal Posted the Biggest Annual Decline in the Value of Production in Agriculture and Fisheries at -41.9 percent in 2021 (At Constant 2018 Prices)

All provinces in CALABARZON registered reductions in the value of production in agriculture and fisheries at constant 2018 prices in 2021. By province, Rizal posted the highest annual decline in the value of production at -41.9 percent. Decreases were also noted for Laguna at -25.3 percent, Cavite at -8.5 percent, Batangas at -6.1 percent, and Quezon at -3.4 percent. (Figure 1)

Batangas had the largest share to the total value of production in agriculture and fisheries in CALABARZON at 42.4 percent in 2021. The province also had the highest contribution in livestock at 58.4 percent and poultry at 52.8 percent. Meanwhile, Quezon accounted for the largest share in crops at 52.4 percent and fisheries at 38.8 percent.

At current prices, Batangas had the highest value of production in agriculture and fisheries among the provinces in CALABARZON amounting to PhP 67.74 billion in 2021. This was followed by Quezon at PhP 44.75 billion, Laguna at PhP 14.09 billion, and Cavite at PhP 13.26 billion. Rizal recorded the least value of production of PhP 11.97 billion.
