The total tourism water consumption in 2022 reached 286.84 million cubic meters (cu.m.), which was 115.0 percent higher than the 133.44 million cu.m. recorded in the previous year. Accommodation services for visitors accounted for the highest water consumption among the tourism consumption products with 211.44 million cu.m. or 73.7 percent share to total tourism water consumption. Meanwhile, the total energy consumption of tourism from the use of Electricity and Petroleum and other fuel products was registered at 5,678.86 Kilotonnes of Oil Equivalent (KTOE) in 2022, an increase of 84.5 percent from 3,078.70 KTOE in 2021. Accommodation services for visitors also posted the highest energy consumption among tourism consumption products in 2022 with 2,466.29 KTOE. This accounted for 43.4 percent of the total energy consumption of tourism from the use of Electricity and Petroleum and other fuel products. (Tables 3.10, 3.11, and 3.12)

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions resulting from the use of Electricity and Petroleum and other fuel products by the tourism sector was equal to 6,840.07 Gigagrams (Gg) in 2022, higher by 75.0 percent from the 3,907.80 Gg recorded in the previous year. Transportation services accounted for the largest share of 3,868.40 Gg or 56.6 percent of the total CO₂ emission of tourism resulting from the use of Electricity and Petroleum and other fuel products. (Tables 3.19, 3.20, and 3.21)
