2023 SDG Watch based on the Refined List of the Philippine SDG Indicators

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) releases the second round of updating of the SDG Watch in 2023. This includes data received from various sources as of 08 November 2023. The number of indicators in the SDG Watch, which are based on the updated list of Philippine Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators1 in 2023, has a total of 157 indicators.

Out of the 157 indicators, there are 131 indicators that were retained from the 155 indicators approved in   2017   for the national   SDG   monitoring. Among the retained indicators, 90 indicators have updates which are reflected in the SDG Watch.

Meanwhile, there are 26 new main indicators2 that were added in the national SDG monitoring.

This is based on the approved PSA Board Resolution no. 02, series of 2023, “Approving and Adopting the Refined List of the Philippine Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Indicators” and PSA Board Resolution no. 10, series of 2023, “Approval and Adoption of the Amendments on the Refined List of the Philippine Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Indicators”. The refinement was done based on the review undertaken by the various Interagency Committees (IACs) coordinated by the PSA.
