Release Date:
Reference Number: 2022-236

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Board approved on 13 May 2022 the PSA Board Resolution No. 02, series of 2022, “Approving and Adopting the Philippine Statistical Development Program 2018-2023 Update for Adoption by the Philippine Statistical System.”

The Philippine Statistical Development Program (PSDP) is a mechanism for setting directions, thrusts, and strategies of the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) and contains priority statistical development programs and activities which are designed to provide vital information support to national, sectoral and local development plans, as well as international commitments.

The PSDP 2018-2023 was updated through the collective effort of the various Interagency Committees (IACs), Technical Committees (TCs), and Regional Statistics Committees (RSCs) as well as other PSS agencies, academe, and stakeholders at the national and subnational levels. To ensure relevance of the PSDP 2018-2023 Update, technical consultations, series of workshops, and a consultative forum with stakeholders were conducted by the PSA in the updating process. The PSDP 2018-2023 Update consists of 370 statistical development programs (SDPs) and activities for implementation in 2022 to 2023. The identified programs and activities provide statistical support to the Updated Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022 and its accompanying Results Matrices, AmBisyon Natin 2040, 0-10 Point Socioeconomic Agenda of the administration, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among others.

In line with its advocacy plan on the PSDP 2018-2023 Update, the PSA will be holding a national dissemination forum this June and regional dissemination forums for Mindanao, Visayas, and Luzon clusters.

The PSS, through the PSA, enjoins the public to support and cooperate in the implementation of programs and activities set forth in the PSDP 2018-2023 Update.
