After presenting their research on the relationship between Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index

22 February 2024 – QUEZON CITY. For its second session, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Knowledge Exchange Series (KES) (formerly known as the PSA Brown Bag Discussion) is centered around the research titled “Consumer Price Index - Producer Price Index Manufacturing Relationship”. This study, conducted by Director Nikkin L. Beronilla, Mr. Manuel Angelo M. Casalan, Mr. John Paul C. Sacop, and Ms. Melanie C. Estrada, takes a closer look at the intricate dynamics between the Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index in manufacturing.1 

Over 60 participants, consisting of PSA officials and personnel from the Central and Field Offices, joined the activity at the Conference Room of the PSA 23-Storey Building, and through online video conferencing.

The PSA recognizes the importance of fostering an institution that encourages continuous learning, strategic collaborations, and impactful innovations. In line with this commitment, the agency organizes the KES as a platform for PSA officials, employees, and stakeholders to come together, exchange knowledge and insights, and contribute to meaningful dialogues.

Building on the success of the First Brown Bag Discussion [Read more: https://bit.ly/3P0yzFG], the February 2024 KES signifies another significant step in fostering continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the PSA.

Sacop, a Supervising Statistical Specialist, serves as the Officer-in-Charge of the PSA Economic Sector Statistics Service - Industry Statistics Division (ESSS-ISD); and Ms. Melanie C. Estrada holds the position of Senior Statistical Specialist in the ESSS-ISD.
