ENDORSING TO CONGRESS, THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT, THE APPROVAL OF CENSUS 2000 BUDGET

WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 72 provides for the taking of an integrated census every ten years beginning in 1980, in accordance with plans prepared by the National Census and Statistics Office (NCSO), now National Statistics Office (NSO);

WHEREAS, a Census of Population and Housing, CENSUS 2000, will be conducted in May 2000;

WHEREAS, to successfully conduct the census operations, resources for the operations have to be allotted for the census activities for the year 2000 as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board favorably endorse to Congress, through the Department of Budget and Management, the approval of CENSUS 2000 budget in accordance with the recommendation of the NSO.
