APPROVING THE TERMS OF REFERENCE OF THE PROVINCIAL, CITY AND MUNICIPAL CENSUS COORDINATING COUNCILS IN THE  CONDUCT OF
THE 2000 CENSUS OF POPULATION AND HOUSING

WHEREAS, Batas Pambansa Blg. 72 provides for the taking of an integrated census every ten years beginning in 1980, in accordance with plans prepared by the National Census and Statistics Office (NCSO), now National Statistics Office (NSO);

WHEREAS, a Census of Population and Housing, Census 2000, will be conducted in May 2000;

WHEREAS, Section 5 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 72 provides that the 'NCCB may call upon ..... instrumentality of the government for any assistance in the performance of their duties."

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board approve the terms of reference of the provincial, city and municipal census coordinating councils, which define among others, the composition, duties and responsibilities and frequencies of meeting and hereby marked "ANNEX 2."

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER that resources to successfully accomplish the TORs be on a cost-sharing basis as may be deemed appropriate by parties concerned.
