CREATION OF AN INTER-AGENCY COMMITTEE ON LABOR, EMPLOYMENT AND INCOME STATISTICS

WHEREAS, there is an urgency of generating the wage rate series which is essential in determining the well-being of employees/workers;

WHEREAS, there is a need to further examine the institutional responsibilities for the conduct of the Occupational Wages Survey (OWS), which was designed to come out with a series of wage rates to serve as basis for setting up of the indices, and to determine a more efficient system of conducting the same;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board create the Inter-Agency Committee on Labor, Employment and Income Statistics to address the issues surrounding the wage series whose membership shall be drawn from the technical staffs of NSO, DOLE, DTI, NEDA, NSCB and BAS-DA.
