“Sama Na, Census Na” continues to campaign the 2020 Census of Population and Housing

As the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continues to conduct its nationwide count and data gathering through the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH), the final episode of the 3-Part TV Special entitled “Sama Na, Census Na” will be aired this Sunday, 27 September 2020 at PTV-4 from 11am to 12pm (with simultaneous livestream on Facebook at www.facebook.com/PTVph/, and Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7MVpSkkfs1ys7RT_8s06sQ).

“Sama Na, Census Na” Three-Part Series air on National TV

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the government agency tasked to execute Executive Order No. 352 where all households and institutional population will be enumerated to count all members and determine their respective demographics and socio-economic characteristics. The PSA will undertake the entire process of enumerating the Philippine population by collecting, compiling, evaluating, analyzing, publishing, and disseminating data, which will be achieved through the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH).

Single Population in the Philippines (Results from the 2015 Census of Population)

In 2015, there were 34.8 million single persons in the Philippines, or 44 percent of the total population 10 years old over. This is higher by 3.5 million compared to the 2010 report of 31.3 million single persons. The census of population, which is conducted by the PSA every 10 years, collects data on marital status for persons 10 years old and over.
