In celebration of the 30th National Statistics Month (NSM) and conduct of the 14th National Convention on Statistics (NCS) in October 2019, the Department of Education (DepEd) issued DepEd Memorandum No. 109, s. 2019 dated 30 August 2019 (Annex A). The memorandum enjoins participation of academic institutions, state universities and colleges, and DepEd officials, employees, and attached agencies at the national and subnational levels in the celebration of the 30th NSM and conduct of the 14th NCS.

The 30th NSM celebration this October 2019 will kick-off with the 14th NCS which will be held on 01 to 03 October 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Ave. cor. Asian Development Bank Ave., Quezon City.

The NCS is a triennial activity of the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) which aims to: 1) provide a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences in the field of statistics and for discussing recent statistical developments and prevailing issues and problems of the PSS; and 2) elicit the cooperation and support of statisticians and professionals in related fields from the government, academe and private sector towards a more responsive statistical system. The NCS will feature plenary sessions, invited/contributed paper sessions, panel discussions, statistics trainings as well as the Statistical Information Management Exhibit.
