Annual increase of CMRPI in NCR decelerates further in September 2019

The annual increment of CMRPI in the National Capital Region (NCR) eased further to 0.9 percent in September 2019. Annual rates were higher in August 2019 at 1.1 percent and in September 2018, 2.7 percent. (Table A and Table 2)

The annual rate of plumbing materials index declined further by 0.4 percent during the month. In addition, lower annual hikes during the month were registered in the indices of the following commodity groups:

• Carpentry materials, 1.7percent;
• Electrical materials, 0.5 percent;
• Painting materials and related compounds, 0.9 percent; and
• Miscellaneous construction materials, 0.6 percent.

On the other hand, the masonry materials index was higher at 1.5 percent, while the index of tinsmithry materials retained its previous month’s annual rate of 1.5 percent. (Table 2)
