The event will be held at the GT Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP-Diliman, Quezon City on December 8, 2015, 1:00 p.m. This is the 24th season of the PSQ since it was organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. Coaches of the winners shall likewise receive an amount equivalent to half of their each contestant’s cash prize. All the participants will be awarded with a PSQ medal and a certificate of recognition.

Last year, Andre Gilmore Arpa, a freshman BS Accountancy student from the Ateneo de Zamboanga University, topped the PSQ National Finals. This was the third time that Region IX bagged the PSQ national trophy after winning in 2009 and in 2011. Remarkably, the three winners all came from Ateneo de Zamboanga. Hashim Monir M. Ambia (Region XII) got the second spot while Hussain D. Zuorba (Region VII) placed third. Fourth and fifth placers went to Raphael Christian D. Sanchez (Region X) and Mark Ceasar B. Rosales (Region VIII), respectively.

The PSQ is an annual event which aims to appraise the competency and skills in statistics among college freshmen students. It also seeks to generate greater public awareness on the importance of statistics.
