As of 01 January 2019, the total duck inventory was estimated at 11.58 million birds. It expanded by 3.2 percent compared with the previous year’s count of 11.22 million birds. This was due to the increases in laying flock and day-old duckling stocks of 6.0 percent and 9.0 percent, respectively.
Among all ages, laying flock shared 51.8 percent of the country’s total duck inventory while growing flock and day old duckling contributed 30.3 percent and 17.9 percent share, respectively. (Table 2)
